Vincent Ryan Jr. Obituary

Vincent P. Ryan, Jr., 80, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children, at the home of his son in Jonestown, in the early morning of January 23, 2022.

He was born in Shenandoah on October 30th, 1941 and was the son of the late Vincent and Jeanette Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Ryan.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia (Dietrick) Ryan, and his four devoted children John (Debbie) Ryan, Sewell, NJ, Karen (Alberto) Ruiz, Shenandoah, Michael (Jennifer) Ryan, Frackville, and Kevin (Sandra) Ryan, Jonestown, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  He has four loving sisters Helene (Thomas) Barrett, Aldan, PA, Pat (Jack) Pekala, Mountain Top, Sharon (Roscoe) Wasilewski, Shenandoah, and Mary (James) Bayliff, Drums, along with numerous adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Vincent graduated from Shenandoah Catholic High School in 1960.  After high school, he worked at A&E products, Ringtown, as a general laborer and forklift operator for 40 years until his retirement in 2003.  He was a devoted husband, dad, Pop, brother, uncle and friend.  Family and faith were everything to him.  He enjoyed the simple things in life and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind especially on a Saturday afternoon watching his favorite football team, The Fighting Irish.  Notre Dame Stadium was one of his favorite places to visit.  His spaghetti dinners and meatballs were world famous and his bright smile was so infectious it could fill a room.  He was a role model to so many and will be tremendously missed by all he knew. He was a member of the Glovers Hill Athletic Club and United Industrials Workers of America Union.
