Ronald J. “Chuck” Gennarini
Ronald J. "Chuck” Gennarini, 89, of Shenandoah, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at his residence.
Born July 19, 1934, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Alphonso and Angelina (Palla) Gennarini.
Ronald was a graduate of J.W. Cooper High School Class of 1953. He retired from Hershey Foods in 1996.
He served 4 years in the United States Navy on the USS Toledo and USS Baltimore.
Ronald was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, and the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Glover’s Hill Athletic Club, 500 club, Park Crest Fish & Game, the USS Toledo (CA-133) Association, and the American Legion Anthony P. Damato Post 792 in Shenandoah. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean and attending his US Navy Reunions across the country.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were sisters Mary Gualtier and Vali Fama, and brothers Raymond and Reviani Gennarini. He was the last member of his immediate family.
He is survived by wife Sally (Salmon), son Jamie and wife Heather of Tennessee, daughter Tracy and husband Daniel Bro of Barnesville, 5 grandchildren- Amanda, Nicole, Felicia, Carson, and Anthony, a great-granddaughter, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10am on March 8th in Divine Mercy Parish, 232 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 8:30am to 10am at Divine Mercy Parish.
Contributions, in Ronald’s name, may be made to Divine Mercy Parish or Shenandoah Community Ambulance, 229 North Main St, Shenandoah, PA 17976. Donations to either will also be accepted at the visitation.
