Patrick J. Cooney, 59, of Raven Run Rd, Lost Creek passed away suddenly on Monday, February 6th at his home.
Born on November 5th, 1963, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Irene Cooney.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Rhonda Cooney of four years, two daughters, Abagail Cooney and Shalynn Whalen, and the late Emily Cooney. 4 grandchildren, Emma Cooney, Lilliana Kerrigan, Shane Kerrigan Jr, and Jamie Whalen. Sisters – Theresa Balliet, Kelly Wishnefsky, Peggy Cooney, Tammy Cooney, and the late Arlene Becker wife of Jimmy Becker. Brothers – Larry Cooney, Michael Cooney, Tommy Cooney, and Dennis Cooney, along with several step brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Pat was a loving husband, devoted father, and pappy. He loved drinking his Yuengling Premium beer and his Newport cigarettes. Pat enjoyed listening to music, loved spending quality time with his grandchildren as a true family man. He loved the outside, working on cars, camping and riding quads with his wife, and throwing horseshoes. He will be remembered as a man who was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was deeply loved and will forever be in the hearts of those he loved and will forever be missed. RIP Patrick Cooney.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 2pm at the house of his sister, Kelly Wishnefsky, Village Rd, in Raven Run.
