Melanie F. George

Melanie F. George, 72, of Sheppton, passed away on Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown

Born in Maizeville on September 20th, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Susan (Onusconich) Urban.

Melanie was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and then went on to the Ashland School of Nursing.  She became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).  She worked in the field for many years and was a member of the CRNA Association.

Melanie is survived by her husband of 48 years, William George and their daughter, Dr. Susan Marie George of Blue Bell, Pa.

Burial will take place on Friday, October 22nd , 2021 at 10:30am in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery - Annville, Pa.  For those planning on traveling to the service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, a procession will depart from the funeral home promptly at 9am.
