Joseph J. Stanulis, 90, of Willow Grove, Pa and formerly of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday, August 26th at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington, Pa.
Born in Shenandoah on August 1st, 1931, he was the son of the late Simon and Teophilia (Aleknavage) Stanulis. Joseph was a 1949 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah. He then served our country as a United States Marine during the Korean Conflict. After the service, Joseph worked many years for Purolator Products until his retirement.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded by 1 brother, Edward Stanulis and 1 sister, Helen Kriner.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Mary (Bokuniewicz) Stanulis and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah on Wednesday, September 1st from 8:30am to 10am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am in Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
