Joseph A. Salokas

Joseph A. Salokas, age 82, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Newton Medical Center.

 Born on April 7, 1939 to Anthony M. Seliokas and Antoinette Kwedder Seliokas of Lost Creek, Pennsylvania.

 Joseph Salokas was a 1957 graduate of the West Mahanoy Township High School and resided in Franklin Borough, New Jersey since 1971. He was employed as a welder and machinist at Solbern Corp. in Fairfield, New Jersey.

 Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 59 years, Loretta I. Salokas and two sisters, Adele Schroebel and Isabel Opanel.

 Joseph Salokas is survived by his sister Mary Lorenzi of Warren, Ohio and leaves behind four children, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

 In accordance with his wishes, interment will be with his wife at Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights, PA.  A cemetery service will occur on November 27, 2021 at 10: 45 a.m.
