John "Johnny" Litwak Jr. Obituary

John (Johnny) R. Litwak Jr., 66, of Area 51, (Also known as: KPIA and The Man with the Bibs), passed away on Monday, December 12th, 2022.

Born in Shenandoah on March 15th, 1956, he was the son of the late John R. “Jack” & Frances Perlinsky Litwak and a grandson to John and Agnes Skrupky Litwak.

John earned an Associate in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.  He worked many jobs, including and auto and diesel mechanic, a lock smith, and a towing and recovery operator.  He will always be known as a jack of all trades, a jokester, and always there, willing to help those in need.

He enjoyed flying, like his father Jack. The most fun he had was being a thorn in the sides of his siblings, and always liked stirring the pot. Working at JRL Emergency Service being “The Boss”, spoiling his grandsons, and being an inventor with several patents. John was always thinking of ways to improve and develop new mechanisms and or devices.

John was an organist at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Shenandoah playing the music his grandmother picked out- not the Priest. He would get looks from the Priest when the music selection was changed, and John would just shrug his shoulders. Growing up in a Roman Catholic Family, John was taught to be willing to lend a helping hand to others in need. This was demonstrated during the holiday times when he took service calls during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. He viewed the motorist as if it was his own daughter, son or family member trying to get home to their loved ones for the holiday.

Dad was more than a loving father he was a mentor, teacher, a friend, a buddy, a character, and jokester to all he knew, but especially to his daughter Sarah Boltz (also known as PPIA) along with her husband Jeremy Boltz and his son Michael Litwak. Also, to his 3 grandsons Ian, Chase, and Connor Lee who he adored and loved tremendously, and he loved his puppies. John always appreciated the comradery of everyone he has worked with over the years.  It didn’t matter if you were his daughter or son, it didn’t matter who you were, Johnny always treated everyone like family.

John always did it his way, as his daughter, son and siblings can attest too, always late for dinner especially the holiday ones. He loved teasing his siblings, nieces, and nephews. John loved teaching his grandsons inappropriate behavior such as raspberries and dropping off tons and I mean tons of candy. His antics’ left his daughter Sarah wondering how to correct this new behavior and to stop the sugar highs. His son, Michael, will always cherish working with him every day.

John is survived by his children, siblings, and their families: Sarah & Jeremy Boltz with sons Ian, Chase , Connor Lee of Pine Grove Pa, Michael James Litwak  of Minersville , Pa , Ruth Zachary sons Jonathon & Robin Zachary,  Christopher & Ann - Stewart Zachary, Danville, VA, Joyce Ann Litwak-Miller and husband Matthew Miller, of Hamburg, David and his wife Denise Litwak, Allentown, Donna Maria Litwak  of Dillsburg PA, and Judith Leigh Borden (also known as LPIA) and her husband, Steven Borden with their  daughter Sydney and son Alexander, Pinehurst, N.C.
