John Kostingo

John Kostingo, 84, of Maizeville, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital- East in Pottsville.

Born in Maizeville on August 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna (Powlick) Kostingo.

John worked for many years as a machine operator at the former Mr. Hanger in Ringtown.  In his spare time, John enjoyed gardening.

Besides his parents, John was preceded by 1 brother- Peter Kostingo and 1 sister- Dorothy Merchlinsky.

His surviving family includes 1 son- William Kostingo, 1 brother- Joseph Kostingo with his wife Mary, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 9 to 10am in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Maizeville.  Liturgy will be conducted at 10am by Fr. Petro Zvarych.  Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Parish Cemetery in Englewood, Frackville.
