John T. Jusinski, formerly known as “Fat John,” 89, of Forestville, formerly of Raven Run Road, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, on August 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles and Olga (Racciopi) Jusinski.
John was a hardworking and devoted family man who spent his life providing for those he loved. Over the years, he held many jobs, including driving a taxi in Newark, serving as a machinist at Johnson & Johnson, and proudly owning Fat John’s Bar and Tavern in Lost Creek.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Marilyn (Rainys) Jusinski, in 2006; and by two sons, Robert Dalley in 1997 and Michael Dalley in 2014.
John is survived by his children: Valerie Dinich and her husband, John, of Forestville, PA; Tracey Jusinski and her fiancé, Joseph Lesko, of Durham, NC; Karen Bullaro of Toms River, NJ; Ronald Dalley of Frackville, PA; and Duane Dalley of Shenandoah Heights, PA. He is also survived by many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
John was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and his favorite hobby was fishing at the Pumping Station in Brandonville. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family during game nights and gatherings. He loved sharing stories from his younger years, often while enjoying a cold beer and a shot of whiskey. His unforgettable stories and deep love for his family will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, June 1st from 8 to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.
