Helen J. Supreme

Helen J. Supreme, 99, of Shenandoah, passed away on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah on March 31st, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Stella Gataveckas.

Helen and her late husband Matthew (1981) owned and operated a local bar and restaurant, “Supreme’s Long Bar” for many years in Shenandoah.  She also enjoyed shopping with her caregiver, Theresa Zajac, and Helen had a truly kind heart for stray animals in need.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Donald Supreme, and 2 sisters, Julia Gerval and Theodora Swatsky.

She leaves behind 1 niece, Janet Davis with her husband Dr. Robert and family – Austin, Tx and her caregivers, Theresa Zajac and Lynn Danowski - Shenandoah

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 29th at 10am in the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian.
