Gregory M. Mirocke "Rock"

Gregory M. Mirocke “Rock”, 72, of Shenandoah, passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem, Pa.

Born in Shenandoah on December 29th, 1948, Greg was the son of the late August and Mary (Grodecki) Mirocke. 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and then worked in the maintenance department at Sealy Posturepedic for many years.  Greg was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed listening to classic rock music, loved to cook and eat pizza, play the lotto, and he was a true Philadelphia Flyers fan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Machinsky) Mirocke in 2015 and 2 brothers, Joseph and Louis Mirocke.

Greg leaves behind a son, Gregory Mirocke with Jill – Shenandoah, 2 daughters, Stacey Wilinsky with Tim – Ashland and Gina Miscannon with Joe – Shenandoah, a sister, Madeline Buchinsky – Shenandoah and 2 grandchildren, Jude Wilinsky and Ellie Miscannon, along with nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, December 2nd from 8:30 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.  Scripture services will be conducted at 10:30am in the funeral home by Msgr. Ronald Bocian.  Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Memorial contributions in Greg’s memory may be made to the SPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
