George “Tut” Colosimo III, 77, of Zion Grove, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton.
Born in Shenandoah on September 18, 1946, he was the son of the late George Colosimo II and Dorothy (Malacusky) Colosimo.
He attended Guardian Angel Adult Day Care in Ashland, previously.
He always appreciated the time he got to spend with his family. Tut also had many interests, such as watching horror movies and the show Green Acres, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, listening to the oldies, especially his favorite – Elvis Presley. He loved when family would take him to see concerts, specifically Elvis impersonators as well, as “hard-rock” bands.
Besides his parents, Tut was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Michael and James Colosimo, and 2 sisters, Sharon Jones and Sandy Galezniak.
He leaves behind 3 sisters, Nellie Makara – Zion Grove, Jessica Davis – Danville and Jody Geist – Zion Grove. His sister Nellie, his brother-in-law Robert (Bobo) and his nephew Dustin were his caregivers over the past 21 years. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, also survive. He was very loved by all of his extensive family.
Graveside Services will be scheduled for May 11, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery in Ringtown.
The Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah are entrusted with the arrangements.
