Dorothy "Babci" Pronio, 85, passed away Jan. 11, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.
Born in William Penn, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Baranowski) Subach.
She was a member of the Amalgamated Garment Workers Union, was one of the first employees of Mrs. T's Pierogies, worked at Rest Haven Nursing Home and worked until her retirement at the Martin Shirt factory, Shenandoah.
Dorothy was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan, Joseph, Paul and Jackie Subach. Dorothy was the last remaining member of her family.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Albert Pronio, husband to Donna; her son, Mark Pronio, husband to Annette; her daughter, Pamela, wife of Thomas Twardzik; six grandchildren, Ashley and Corey Pronio, Kayleigh and Christian Pronio and Tom Jr. and Nicholas Twardzik.
Dorothy enjoyed her time at The Birches in Shenandoah Manor, playing bingo and Bunko and chatting with "The Girls" there. She also loved the show "General Hospital," room temperature coffee, reading all of the scandal magazines and going to any Dollar Store. She loved her grand-dog, Penny, and Dorothy adored her grandchildren very much.
Due to COVID-19 concerns the services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
