Dora M. Cherkoski, 75, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, February 13th, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Shenandoah on August 21st, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Sadie (Machmod) Moses.
Dora loved line dancing, drawing, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her ex-husband and friend, Edmund Cherkoski and one brother, Omar Moses.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Helen Kufrovich with Larry – Girardville, and Natalie Cherkoski – Shenandoah, also her brothers, Gary Moses – Catawissa and Abraham Moses – Ringtown, her sisters, Alice Gallagher – New Jersey, Thelma Van Horn – Maryland, Emily Logan – Hazleton, Anna Mae Danowski – Shenandoah, and Sarah Mayberry – Mahanoy City. Her two grandchildren, Natasha Salter – White Haven and Tia Lyn Stauffer – Ringtown, a great-grandson, Donovan Grzenda, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 17th, from 10 to 11am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.
