Claire A. Kostowskie

Claire A. Kostowskie, 82, of Shenandoah, passed away on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, at her home.

Born in Shenandoah on May 28th, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara (Kwapick) Dower.

Claire was a 1958 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School.  She was known as a very caring person who loved gardening, reading, and baking.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Leon Kostowskie in 1983, along with her brother, Thomas Dower.

Surviving is a son, Carl Kostowskie with Carol Sensenbach of Shenandoah, a daughter, Donna Donnelly of Locustdale, 4 grandchildren, Carl Kostowskie Jr., Vanessa M. Foresman, Brian Donnelly, and Matthew Donnelly, and 2 great grandchildren, Cassidy and Ella.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 19th from 8:30 to 10:00am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.  Scripture services will be held at 10:00am in the funeral home and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian.  Burial will immediately follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
