Cecilia A. DeTurk, 94, of Fountain Hill and formerly of Shenandoah and Ringtown, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Born in Milton, Pa on January 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Susanna Reichelderfer.
Cecilia worked alongside her late husband, Stephen DeTurk (2007) at their family restaurant in Shenandoah for many years. Outside of business, she loved dogs, birds, gardening, and devoting time to her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Cecilia was preceded by 2 sisters and a brother.
Her surviving family includes her son- Stephen DeTurk with his wife Ruth of Center Valley, her daughter- Mary Susan DeTurk Rothfuss with her husband William of Feasterville, 3 grandsons- Michael Rothfuss with his wife Iva, Stephen DeTurk with Sara Cantalupo, and Nathan DeTurk with Ashley Asbell, 2 great granddaughters- Tara Sofia Rothfuss and Charlotte Alexandra DeTurk, along with several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brothers, Kenneth Reichelderfer of Milton and Edward Reichelderfer of Milton.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 14th from 10am to 12pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah. Panachida services will be conducted at 12pm in the funeral home by Rev. Bohdan Vasyliv of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Shenandoah. Burial will immediately follow in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
