Barbara A. Petrousky

Barbara A. Petrousky, 81, of Ashland, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at her home.

Born on April 20th, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Powlick and Mary Crage.

Barbara worked many years as a Secretary Librarian for the North Schuylkill Jr./Sr. High School.  She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Girardville where she also taught CCD classes.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by a son, Thomas Petrousky, a grandson, Edward Wascavage, 2 brothers, Ralph and Bernard Powlick, and 3 sisters, Agnes Hercek, Mary Lushinsky, and Betty Gentry.

She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, John Petrousky, a son, Andrew Petrousky of Minersville, 2 daughters- Barbara Wascavage with her husband Edward of Ashland, and Karen Dade with her husband Brian of Waynesboro.  7 grandchildren- Samantha, Brittani, Brianna, Andrew, John, Lindsay, and Dana, along with several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 13th from 8:30am to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Girardville by Fr. Giuseppe Esposito.  Burial will be held the following day, Wednesday, September 14th at 12:30pm in the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
