Alice E. Swartz

Alice E. Swartz, 95, of Ringtown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2024, surrounded by family at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital Orwigsburg, after a long battle with pulmonary disease.

Born in Frackville, January 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late James Hahn and Margaret Irvin Hahn.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville and a graduate of Frackville High School, class of 1946. She retired from The Hershey Company in 1988. Alice was also a licensed beautician and skilled seamstress who enjoyed reading and quiet life in the country. Her home was always a welcoming stop for visiting family and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald F. Swartz Sr. and her brothers Joseph, William, James, Graham and Harold Hahn.

She is survived by son Donald F. Swartz Jr. and wife Wende, Ringtown; grandaughters, Megan Swartz Remetta and husband Michael, Ringtown; Kayla Swartz, Bernville; and great grandson Cason Remetta; along with nieces and nephews.

 Services will be held at the family’s convenience.
