Agnes Ferguson

Agnes Ferguson, 101, of Parkville, MD and formerly of Shenandoah, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Morningside House of Satyr Hill in Parkville.

Born in Shenandoah on July 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Fillippo and Rose (Astorino) Esposito. 

Agnes was a 1940 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School.  She had to go to work at young age to help support her family.  She worked many years and retired as a telephone operator for the former C & T Telephone Company.  Agnes was a lifelong member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Shenandoah.  She loved to cook, go on picnics, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John Ferguson in 1999, and a brother, Peter Esposito.

Surviving family include a brother, Philip A. Esposito; also, her nephew and caregiver, Philip Esposito; along with other nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd from 9 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am in Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian.  Interment will immediately follow in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
